My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

* This kitty is in a foster home and is not at the shelter. If you are interested in this kitty, please email angela.kinn.ak@gmail.com *

Meet Jasmine! Jasmine is about four months old and looking for a loving home. Jasmine didn't have contact with humans at the beginning of her life and was understandably fearful when she came into Yolo County Animal Services. Over time, with the help of more confident kittens, she has learned to trust and receive as well as give affection. She enjoys playing with and grooming other kittens, looking out a window and chasing a ribbon. With her beautiful green eyes and shiny black coat, she is a beautiful kitty and with her sweet, loveable purrsonality she will be a wonderful companion!

Jasmine can be shy at first in new situations so a stable, quieter home with a loving patient guardian  would be best for her. Because Jasmine loves other cats so much, she would be a purrfect companion for a household with other cats!

All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

*The shelter is currently open for adoptions by appointment only. Please email us at adoptycas@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting.
For other shelter services, please call us at (530) 668-5287*

To adopt you must have a photo ID and proof of your current address. If not on your ID then bring in a bill with your name and your current address. If you rent you must provide a lease clearly stating the pet policy or provide a name and phone number for your landlord so that we may confirm the pet policy. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof.

You must be 18 years or older to adopt.

If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).

If you have any other questions, please go to www.yolocountysheriff.com or call the shelter for more information.
