Meet Bolt, a charming 4-year-old black and tan German Shepherd mix currently being fostered. Bolt is a wonderful canine companion with a friendly demeanor, great with everyone he meets, and incredibly food-motivated. He’s easy to walk, not too energetic, and thrives on human interaction. Since arriving at the shelter in November, Bolt has been a bit of a 'hidden gem'—a lovable dog who deserves more attention. During his weekend foster trips, he’s shown himself to be an amazing travel buddy, enjoying car rides, lounging around the house, and going on long walks. Bolt is also non-reactive with other dogs, making him a well-rounded companion. If you’re looking for a laid-back, affectionate dog who is ready to bring joy into your life, Bolt might be the perfect match. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. To adopt you must have a photo ID and proof of your current address. If not on your ID then bring in a bill with your name and your current address. If you rent you must provide a lease clearly stating the pet policy or provide a name and phone number for your landlord so that we may confirm the pet policy. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof.

You must be 18 years or older to adopt.

If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).
