My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Berry is excited to have finally landed a PA foster home! We saved Berry along with her mom and sister when Hurricane Debby hit and she’s been patiently awaiting her turn to find her furever home.

Berry just arrived and has already won over the hearts of her foster family. It’s easy to tell they adore her and say she is just the sweetest!

Berry has been amazing with the young children in her foster home and getting along great with their 4-year-old blue heeler. Berry is quickly gaining confidence in her new foster home each and every day.

So far, Berry doesn’t play much in regards to fetch or tug, but is excited to run around the yard and is especially fond of chasing squirrels. Overall, she is a very chill dog who will have no problems integrating into a family with or without other dogs/children.

Berry is available for adoption on or after 12/21/2024.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

You can find our application at www.mostlymuttz.org.

2.
Home Check

All persons living in the household are required to be present.

3.
Approve Application

You will receive an approval email from our organization within several days of having your home visit completed.

4.
Meet the Pet

You will be able to adopt at this meeting if it is a match.

5.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees vary based on dog. We accept cash, PayPal or Venmo. The contract will also be signed at this time.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Congratulations on your new family member!

Additional adoption info

The Initial review of your application will occur within 72 hours.

Please contact your vet authorizing them to release information to us.
Also, let your references know we’ll be calling.
****Failure to take these steps may delay the process

Once your references have been contacted, someone will contact you to schedule a home visit.
After your home visit you will receive an email informing you of your approval.

Schedule a meet/adoption. You will be able to finalize your adoption of the dog at this meeting.

Please read your contract thoroughly before the meeting.

You will be required to send an update at 2 weeks, 6 months, and annually. The email addresses for those updates will be at the bottom of the contract.

If it has been determined that training is a requirement for the dog you’re adopting this will be noted on the contract. You will be required to submit verification of training completion.

Payment by cash is due at the time of adoption. If you choose to use PayPal, payment should be made prior to the meeting/adoption. You will need to forward the electronic email you receive from PayPal, to mostlymuttz@gmail.com to confirm your payment before the meeting/adoption.

Adoption Fees:

Altered puppies (8 weeks - 1 year old): $525

Unaltered puppies (8 weeks - 1 year old): $450 (A $100 sterilization deposit is required in addition to fee. This is refunded upon verification of altering.)

Adults (1yo-7yo): $375

Seniors (7+ years old): $250

Adult dogs who have been with us for over 6 months: $188
