My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jello-boy! Although, Wylie the Coyote may be just a little more fitting, let me tell you, if he wasn't as sweet as he is, I would be QUICK to spot him as a coyote, the resemblance is crazy. Luckily though, he is beyond sweet, and infectiously loving. Jello quite enjoys the hustle and bustle of his days, but it goes without saying, snuggles are a BIG priority on his to-do list! He is fluffy as can be, at about 7 months old, and only about 30 pounds, the PERFECT size. He has thoroughly been enjoying the process with us as well! As intelligent as can be, Jello LOVES earning treats with commands he knows, and those that he's learning. Every day I am entirely impressed with how quickly he catches onto every thing! Whether it's how to be nice and polite, well-mannered, or it's his basic commands like 'sit.', 'down.' or leash walking, he is mastering it! Honestly, as amazing this little dude is, we think he will do wonderful in just about any home! Any home that is of course equipped with little outlets! We've gone ahead and tested Jello with cats, too! He's passed with FLYING colors, and is a dog playgroup-super star! We can't get enough of this guy!

My adoption fee is only $310! This fee covers all of my vaccines, microchip, nex/heartguard, heartworm test, AND my spay/neuter!

Think I might be the perfect fit for your home? You can apply for me here https://animalwelfarefriends.org/adopt/application/ OR you can apply in person when you come visit me any day during business hours! You can even adopt me that same day once approved!!

Please Note: All adoptions are on a first-come first served basis with approved adoption applicants. We do not hold animals unless the adoption is out-of-state, and fees apply. The animal's welfare is our first and only priority, in doing so, they are moved from the shelter into their respective homes as quickly, & humanely as possible to remove the risk of undergoing extreme stress, compromising the immune system, & behavioral concerns.

DISCLAIMER: Genetic Breed accuracy is NOT guaranteed; we assess by the following:
Interview with or paperwork from with the previous owner
Intake evaluation observations (behavior, physical appearance, and energy level)
Source documents from which to analyze characteristics
Consultation with other staff

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!

Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
