My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Morticia, a nearly 5-year-old beauty weighing in at 77lbs. Despite her size, this gentle giant has a heart full of sweetness and an immense capacity for love. Morticia craves affection and will happily snuggle up to you whenever you sit down. While she may not yet be familiar with basic commands, Morticia is eager to learn and adapt. Having completed her journey of raising puppies, she is now ready to find a forever home where she can be cherished as she deserves. Morticia walks wonderfully on a leash, making her an excellent companion for daily strolls. She also has a playful streak that is sure to bring joy to your home. Like many Labrador Retrievers, she enjoys playing with long toys, often tossing them in the air with glee. Her hound instincts make her an avid explorer, always curious about the comings and goings in the yard. This sweet and loving girl is more than ready to be a devoted companion to a family who will give her the love and care she longs for. Could you be the one to offer Morticia her forever home?

Breed is based on physical features. All shelter animals are considered to be a mixture of breeds.

More about this shelter

Springdale Animal Services' mission is to provide shelter and care to the thousands of stray, abandoned, abused, and neglected animals in need every year. We reunite lost pets with their owners, and place many that are homeless in caring, permanent homes. We strive to ensure the welfare and public safety of our community and its animals through education of our citizens and enforcement of our ordinances. We promote spaying/neutering all domestic animals at the earliest appropriate age, as a means of reducing their overpopulation.
