My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cupcake and Dutchess, two sweet sisters on the hunt for a loving home to spend their golden years together! These inseparable best friends came to us after their owner passed away, and they’ve been giving each other love and comfort ever since.

Cupcake may have limited vision due to pigmentary keratitis, but that doesn’t stop her from enjoying cuddles, exploring, or finding her favorite napping spots. She’s on daily eye drops for life to help keep her eyes as healthy as possible. Though she has some mobility issues, she’s still able to get up and walk around—and she’ll always come over for a snuggle!

Dutchess also has mobility challenges due to disc disease, but she’s a trooper and gets around just fine for now. She’s on Gabapentin for life to ensure she’s comfortable and needs a special Urinary S/O diet to help manage her bladder health. Despite her age and challenges, she’s still full of love and tail wags.

These girls are gentle, loving souls who enjoy the quieter things in life—napping side by side, snacking on tasty treats, and curling up next to their human friends. While they get along with other dogs, they prefer a peaceful home, away from the hustle and bustle of younger pups. Their ideal family would have experience caring for senior dogs, as both girls benefit from a little extra attention, especially with their mobility and daily medications.

If you’re looking for two loving companions to fill your home with warmth and snuggles, Cupcake and Dutchess are the perfect pair! All they need is a soft spot to land and someone who can offer them the happy retirement they deserve. Could your home be their final, loving stop? Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
