My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Malkovitch is seeking a loving home, one that will give him the space to be himself without expectations of offering the usual kitty companion things such as being a lap cat. His favorite things to do are along the lines of a quiet cat tree looking out the window, tucked away on a shelf to himself, or being part of a small group but half-hidden in the back where he can see his family but not be in the middle of things.

He's a sweet boy and has been fostered most of his life, but his longterm foster person feels he's not happy in the group currently in the home. Malkovitch needs a smaller and quieter living situation than can be offered where he currently is, and this is creating anxiety for him.

For more information on this handsome and quiet kitty, please text or call Judy at 530 209-5139. We hope to find a spot for Malkovitch where he can truly enjoy being who and where he is.

Additional adoption info

We are in a rural location and cover a large area with small communities far apart. We tailor our adoption process to fit the needs of each adoption, whether it be a home visit or other specific situation. Adoptions are allowed to proceed only after careful checking of the situation for each animal.

RAIN Thrift store is open daily at the address above. Adopters can meet the pets there that are currently available for adoption. We're in the process of setting up with other websites to add our photos to expand coverage for our adoptable pets.

More about this rescue

Rescued Animals In Need is a no kill organization whose main focus is rescuing lost, abandoned, abused, neglected or unwanted animals and helping them find their forever homes. We work hard to reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats by providing education and financial assistance (when available) for spay/neuter programs to help prevent unwanted and uncontrolled pregnancies for animals in our communities. Including a program for the voiceless and often ignored feral cats. We have full non-profit 501(c)3 status with the State of California.
