My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Willow. This girl is the whole package. She is medium sized, gorgeous, overall pretty mellow and a complete sweetheart. She is good with dogs and cats. She LOVES kids. But her favorite thing to do is keep an eye on her foster mom. She is definitely a velcro dog and will sit and watch whatever her foster mom is doing. She doesn't need to be involved, she just wants to quietly observe. She is smart and eager to please. She is great on the leash even with kiddos holding the leash. She recently went to Picklefest and did amazing amongst the crowd and received a ton of compliments. She is crate trained and will sleep in a crate at night with the door open. She is a special girl and deserves to have an absolutely amazing family to call her own.

We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in various cities. Willow is currently in Houston, TX but will be arriving on the next transport to Oregon. She will be fostered in Independence, OR and will arrive on 09/22. She will be available for meet and greets with approved applicants after her arrival.

Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance.

We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for. We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters, and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping.

If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes, our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you can see our posts.  Unfortunately Meet & Greets has been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animal travel has been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and have been very successful.  Please look at our adopter’s reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue

Go meet their pets

Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with foster families waiting for their adoption approval to keep our volunteers safe. We have scheduled transports leaving Houston every 2 weeks to deliver our adopted pets to Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Canada.

More about this rescue

Spring Branch Rescue is a Foster Based organization not a Shelter. This makes the transition into your home a lot easier. We know our adoptable pets well because they have lived with our fosters. We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest and Texas.
