Meet Belle, a gentle and timid princess who is searching for her forever home. This sweet girl arrived in our care as a stray and is ready to find a loving family to help her feel secure. Belle may be shy at first, but with a little patience, she warms up quickly and enjoys gentle petting.

Belle can be easily startled and will thrive in a calm, quiet home. She is still adjusting to the outside world and would do best in a serene neighborhood with minimal traffic. As an Australian Shepherd, she has plenty of energy and will need a family who can provide both physical exercise and mental stimulation. Continued training will be important, especially to address her barrier reactivity and to help her gain confidence.

Belle has shown a protective bond with her sister, and while she may do well with other dogs given proper introductions, she might thrive best as the only canine in the home while she adjusts. Additionally, Belle has a charming penchant for talking, so her new family should be prepared for some lively conversations!

Do you think you could be Belle's person? Here are some ways to find out:

1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or

2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.
