From the foster: Meet Romeo!! Could you find a cuter face with a more charming personality? Probably not! Romeo, who's getting the hang of coming when called, loves to explore new places and check out anything new. He's a big fan of playing follow the leader, as long as you go first.

Romeo is getting "used to leash walks and is working very hard on his potty training, though it will take a bit more time. Be patient as he loves to please. He was initially hesitant about stairs, but I turned my back for 5 minutes, and he was already halfway up!

This little guy is super treat-motivated and will shower you with Casanova-style kisses. True to his name, he's a lover and a cuddler. He is shy but very friendly. He sleeps almost through the whole night in his crate and loves playing with his toys. Since he's teething, make sure to have plenty of proper chew toys on hand. He's also very curious about my dog (who's not thrilled about him) but will probably do well with other pups in the house.

More about this rescue

Colorado Puppy Rescue is a 501(c)3 no-kill rescue for young puppies. We accept puppies from kill-shelters in southern CO, NM,TX, OK and KS. Most of our puppies are mixed mutts under 12 weeks old, some are as old as 6 months. We do not have a shelter. All of our puppies stay in foster homes so the only time they are available for adoption is at our adoption events. We average 20 puppies a week and update our website with available puppies Friday afternoons.
