My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee: $475 - I'm already spayed/neutered!

All animals are UTD on vaccines (may need boosters) and microchipped

From the foster: Hi! I'm not sure how I came to be known as Orca because I'm a sweet teddy bear that would never sink a mega yacht even in my wildest dreams. Actually quite the opposite, I am very shy and happiest when I'm snoring super loud right at my people's feet. At a perfect 20.7lbs, I have almost all of my adult teeth, so the rescue doesn't think I'll get too much bigger. Plus, you heard that right, I have adult teeth, that means no messing with those crazy sharp puppy teeth with me. I'm being fostered with big dogs and I am watching their every move, but I rarely leave my foster's side to follow them or play with them. I'd be totally happy if it was just you and me, but if you had a dog friend that I could learn from, I'd be happy about that too. I love toys, I have a pile of chew toys that I keep close to keep my options open. I also get super excited when I see the big stuffed toys in the yard, they may be bigger than me but I'll still drag them around and thrash around with them. I did ok in a crate both overnight and while my people were at work, I bark a little and then have a nice peaceful nap, but if you have a spot for me in your bed, I'd be the most happy (and sleep through the night!). I probably didn't spend a lot of time working on my potty training before this week, so I'm still a bit confused about these new rules but I'm proving to be a very fast learner with some training treats and lots of pep talks! If you remind me that we need to go outside for bathroom, I'll follow you anywhere for some wandering and a potty. Great with dogs. Unsure on cats

More about this rescue

Colorado Puppy Rescue is a 501(c)3 no-kill rescue for young puppies. We accept puppies from kill-shelters in southern CO, NM,TX, OK and KS. Most of our puppies are mixed mutts under 12 weeks old, some are as old as 6 months. We do not have a shelter. All of our puppies stay in foster homes so the only time they are available for adoption is at our adoption events. We average 20 puppies a week and update our website with available puppies Friday afternoons.
