My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

I don't always like to share my food, toys or bedding with other animals.

I would do best in a home with only adult humans.

I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some canine body language together!

I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.

A volunteer writes: When I met Dior, I thought she wouldn't be around very long. Now 75 days later, she is still waiting. Dior is just a gentle soul. You can tell by the look in her eyes that she is just so sweet, and was born to love someone. She is a deep chocolate brown, with big ears and kind eyes. I am jealous of the volunteers Dior loves best, because she snuggles them with the most gusto. Dior is 3 years old and spayed, ready to go home today. She loves to play and loves toys,
When greeting a male dog at the shelter, she initially was bouncy and play bowed, but when the other dog became more pushy and continued to move into her space, Dior became uncomfortable.

My #BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: Dior did so great on our walk today. She didn't react too much to other dogs. She has a great stride and most of the time I had to keep up with her. She is very curious so she likes to be thorough on her walks but is very patient and quite loving to her handler.
