My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maxie is a sweet and attention seeking lovey girl who just so happens to be blind and has a heat murmur. While we want to be up front about that, you'll see in our notes below that we think she's still a fantastic family pet!

She’s been blind, her whole life so she adapts really quickly to her surroundings. After a few days she had her bearings and use the litter box 100% of the time. She loves her food and snacks. She is apprehensive around other animals and has yet to have a fully positive reaction to my other cats. It’s mostly been flight or freeze, but I’m hopeful that eventually she’ll come around and would do well in a household with very calm older animals. I don’t see her doing well in a household with children, she gets very scared by quick movements because she has heightened sense of hearing consents and feel movement. She loves being held like a baby on your shoulder and just in general, she wraps herself around your legs when you walk and loves butt scratches.
