Meet Katie! This beautiful girl was rescued by law enforcement alongside two other dogs and is now eagerly searching for her forever family. At 3 to 4 years old, Katie is up-to-date on her vaccinations and, thankfully, has tested negative for Lyme disease. She’s also been vaccinated to stay protected. Recently, Katie recovered from a severe skin infection caused by fleas, and after all she’s been through, she now has a hernia at her spay incision. We’ll be taking care of this for her after Thanksgiving.

Katie has a gentle, loving nature despite her challenging past. She’s a pro with cats and can often be found lounging with about ten of them in the shelter’s main room. She also loves car rides and is a calm, patient travel companion—even during long vet visits! Though she’s initially hesitant at bath time, she hops right into the tub and is easy to bathe.

Katie doesn’t enjoy the shelter environment, but her true personality shines through: she’s fun, polite, and affectionate. Full of energy and ready to love, Katie would be an incredible addition to any family. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle friend to brighten your days, Katie could be the one for you!

Call 740-934-2693 to make an appointment to visit pets at our shelter! All pets are spayed or neutered and up to date on all shots before leaving our facility. You must fill out an adoption form and be approved. We will need to see a driver license or valid id card with your address.

$150.00 adoption fee for dogs/puppies. All dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on shots and rabies shots, wormed, heartworm and lyme disease tested.

$50.00 adoption fee for cats. All cats are up to date on shots, have been spayed and neutered, and feline leukemia tested.

Crossed Paws Animal Shelter is an all-volunteer nonprofit with a shelter to house unwanted, homeless and abused animals. We are a volunteer only organization who get no funds from state or County. We exist from fundraising events and the generosity of community support. We speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.
