Foster Update: "Hello! My name is Bluey (aka Vlad). I'm 10 mos old, smart and sweet. I'm a loving and loyal dog. My fur is very soft! I'm doing very well on my house training, but sometimes I still use the pad instead of going out. I'm working on doing better. I ask to go out sometimes.
Thankfully, I have a foster sister here who is very close to my age so I have a buddy to romp around with because I love to play!!! After I play, I like to lay down with my foster mom and sister and take a good nap.
I like riding in the car and know how to behave myself in the car. I need someone that's experienced with dogs because I am pretty hard headed.
I have gotten into a little bit of trouble with my foster mom because I like to chase her cats. I've never tried to hurt them, but it's just so fun to chase them!! My foster mom is working on teaching me to be better about this.
I'm looking for my furrever home!! Could you be it?"
Meet Vlad, a gentle and attentive dog who's a bit skittish but full of potential. She has a medium energy level and, while she can feel overwhelmed in open spaces, she remains calm and polite. Vlad shows polite interest in the other shelter dogs she encounters, and with a little time and patience, she's sure to warm up and thrive in a comfortable environment.
We did a brief dog test with Vlad (40138) and Duck (40670). Both dogs were friendly and social and seemed to enjoy each other's company. They didn't engage in much play, but followed each other around.
