My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Noreen lived outside an apartment complex in Riverside for over a year and had several litters outdoors. She was likely abandoned by her owner who lived there. She was fed by the residents and was so friendly to everyone.

Eventually she injured her tail and the residents reached out to Smittens. Now she`s spayed . . . with a little less tail (how she got her name)! She feels so much better and is somehow even friendlier. She is so sweet, likes lots of pets, and just about everyone she meets. Noreen may need a little time to adjust and would best be suited as an only cat, but she can’t wait to find her forever home!

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
