My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Atlas, a dog with a spirit as vast as his namesake suggests. This adult canine is the epitome of friendly, always ready to greet everyone with a wagging tail and a playful bounce. Atlas possesses an energy that is infectious, his enthusiasm for life is boundless. He loves to play, whether it`s fetch or a simple game of chase, his playful nature shines through. But don`t let his energy fool you, Atlas also knows when it`s time to calm down and enjoy a quiet moment. His perfect day would be filled with games, walks, and lots of love. Atlas is a wonderful companion who is ready to bring joy and laughter into his forever home. Why adopt Atlas? He`s not just a pet, he`s a friend, a confidante, a source of endless entertainment and unconditional love. With Atlas, every day is an adventure waiting to happen.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
