My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

At just around 1 years old & 55 lb Ellie Mae is an absolute joy of a pup who wants nothing more than to love on her people, eat good food (she is a lab of course), and play fetch. She gets along well with the other dog in her foster home, and has been a very polite resident all around.

Ellie was a little bit unsure of herself when she came to CPR, and was timid around new people and new situations but with patience and encouragement, she's become much more confident and it's so fun to see more of her personality come out. She LOVES other dogs and would be thrilled to have another dog in the home to play with or would be totally fine as an only pup.

Ellie is totally potty trained -- she will pretty much go on command. She is working hard on polishing up her leash manners, she's totally crate trained, potty trained, and sleeps well through the night.
Overall, Ellie Mae is super affectionate and very easy going for her age. She has the perfect medium energy level and you can see more of Ellie Mae in a Facebook live on our FB page! She is going to make the most incredible addition to anyone's family.

Ellie Mae is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection.

Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pup’s at the event!

The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested negative for heartworms.

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.

After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

More about this rescue

CPR was formed in 2004 to assist unwanted pups and dogs with finding a new home. We rescue our pups from high kill shelters in TN and MS. Without the dedication of the staff and volunteers of these shelters and without the assistance of CPR, the pups posted on our website would not be rescued.
We also assist families with unwanted litters of pups by placing the pups and spaying their mommy dog to stop the cycle of unwanted puppies. When funds are available, we spay/neuter personally owned pets when asked for assistnce.
We rescue and rehome 200+ pups and dogs each month. We accomplish this task with the help of an awesome hard working and dedicated staff and volunteer base. Also helping us to accomplish what seems at times to be a thankless and overwhelming job is our pure and selfless love of dogs! We truly believe that rescue + rehoming = true love. <3
