My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rose, a three-year-old, 11-pound Chihuahua cross. She’s a small bundle of sweetness who lives up to her name! While Shakespeare said a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, this little Rose would still be just as lovely, even if she were called Brunhilda. An affectionate attention-seeker, Rose loves to nuzzle up against her kennel, asking for pets and snuggles.

Though she's full of love, Rose can be a bit nervous in new situations,
especially around noisy streets or parking lots. What she truly craves is a
calm, comfortable environment where she can relax and be close to her
people.

If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion who wants nothing more
than to cuddle and share quiet moments with you, Rose could be the
perfect match. Give her the safe, cozy home she dreams of, and she’ll fill
your life with warmth and love. Could Rose be the one you’re waiting for?
Come meet her and find out!

Rose’s adoption fee of $225 covers essential services such as
spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary
wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Please don't hesitate to schedule an appointment to meet Rose during adoption hours, Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, by calling 602-971-1334.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Home Fur Good has trained adoption counselors to review and question any potential problems/issues with application. We do require an adoption fee which ranges for dogs $150-$300 and for cats $50-$100. All cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked.
If another dog or dogs are present in the household we require a meet and greet prior to adoption. All members of the household must be on board with adoption. We do not adopt our rescues out without meeting person that will be responsible - no "gift" adoptions. We contract that if cat/dog must be relinquished they are returned to us. If there is a change of ownership we must be kept informed who responsible party is. Fees are non refundable.

More about this rescue

Home Fur Good is a non profit no kill animal shelter located in the NE Valley. We take a majority of our cats and dogs from County, many who have treatable medical conditions and would otherwise be put down. We assess physical and behavior and work with the cats/dogs to find the best suitable match. It is our goal that each cat or dog that comes to our shelter ultimately be placed in their "furever" homes.

We also operate a low cost vaccine and microchip clinic each Sunday. We want to help community be able to care for and keep their animals safe. We do not charge vet fee only fee for vaccine and microchip. Additionally we have a low cost dental clinic each Wednesday. Check our website for more details.
