Meet Kyo, a kitten full of curiosity and charm. Kyo was born in the spring of 2024 with her sister Lori.
Though she may seem shy at first, don't let her initial reserve fool you. Once she warms up, she loves attention. Kyo just needs time to adjust to new situations.
She has a fondness for tunnels, finding joy in the simple game of hide and seek. Her love for cozy beds is unrivaled, often curling up for a nap after her playful adventures.
Kyo also enjoys the company of other cats, her playful antics often leading to heartwarming moments of feline camaraderie. Kyo love a home with another cat to help her feel secure but she could be an only cat - as long as her humans devote time to playing and cuddling.
Adopting Kyo means inviting a bundle of joy into your home. Her playful demeanor and love for comfort will surely brighten up any household.
Adopt Kyo, and let her bring a smile to your face every day.
Kyois currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
