Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
What’s the capital of Nevada? Carson City! Why is that important? Well, I was rescued from Nevada Coney Island in the heart of Detroit, and that’s how I got my name! I’m Carsona, a 7-month-old brown tabby girl, and I’m ready to find my forever home through Animal House of Southeast Michigan.
I’m not sure how I ended up there, but a kind woman made sure I was fed and safe, and one day, someone decided it was finally time to get me into foster care. Now, I’m so grateful and ready to find my purrfect family!
I’m what they call a “unicorn cat”—I love everyone I meet, humans and felines alike! I purr instantly when touched and could spend my whole day cuddling in your lap. Get ready for smooches because I’ll push my head onto your lips for kisses, and I’m an expert at making biscuits on your lap. I love playing with toys, but most of all, I love loving you!
I don’t have a single mean bone in my body, so what are you waiting for? Come meet me and get all the love and kisses you could ever want!
Carsona is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
