My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello world! My name is Leoni, and I’m a giant, sturdy boy with 12.5 lbs of pure love and cuddles! I’m a handsome orange-and-white guy, and you know what that means—orange cat genes = extra fun!

I love cuddles and won’t stop bonking my head on you for pets and rubs. As soon as you touch me, I’ll collapse into purrs, show you my soft belly for rubs, and beg for head kisses! People are my absolute favorite, and I get along great with other cats too—I’ve been around them my whole life.

At just 2.5 years old, I have tons of love to give and I’m a pro with toys and using the litter box. What more could you ask for? Come meet me and take me home—you won’t regret it! I love you already!

I am FIV+, but don’t let that scare you. FIV is not easily spread—it requires deep bites, and I don’t bite my feline friends! Cats with FIV can live long, happy, healthy lives, just like any other cat. So, don’t let that stop you from adopting your best friend for life—it’s just something I had to disclose for transparency.

Leoni is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Additional adoption info

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
