My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sammie, an adult feline who's got a heart full of love to give.

Her personality is as charming as her hugs are warm. Sammie loves to get in your lap and wrap her paws around your neck for hugs and kisses. She's not just affectionate, she's a follower, always there to keep you company.

Sammie is a chatterbox, her meows are her way of engaging in conversation with you. Especially if she is hungry!

If you're the type who enjoys a peaceful car ride, Sammie is your perfect companion. She's a fan of exploring new sights from the comfort of a car seat.

But at the end of the day, she's a true lap cat, her favorite place to be is curled up on your lap.

Adopt Sammie and you're not just getting a pet, you're gaining a loyal friend, a travel buddy, and a purring comforter, all wrapped in one.

Sammie is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Additional adoption info

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
