Meet Tom, a distinguished mature Shepherd mix who is ready to spend his golden years in a loving home. Having left the rambunctious puppy days behind, Tom is a calm and gentle soul. He came to the shelter with his buddy, who has since passed away, and the loss has left him feeling a bit uncertain. The shelter environment is stressful for him, but he finds comfort in his walks and quiet moments in the yard with volunteers.Tom knows `sit` and takes treats with the gentleness of a true gentleman. While he may be a little nervous at first, his calm demeanor and sweet nature shine through once he feels safe.If you`re looking for a quiet, loyal companion to share peaceful walks and gentle moments, Tom would love to find a forever home where he can relax and feel secure in his retirement years.
Tom has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match! Check out his playgroup video here:
