Hi there, my name is Hershey, and I’m a handsome Shepherd mix, about 7 months old, weigh 62 lbs, and I was one of 6 little puppies whose mama was killed by a car while we were homeless strays in San Antonio Texas. It was devastating, to say the least, and thankfully 4 Little Paws Rescue placed us in a foster home while we were getting ready to be adopted.
I’m a very sweet boy, easygoing, friendly, active, and playful without being overly rambunctious. I’m well-socialized and make friends easily with everyone, young and old. I love playtime with children or doggy friends and will lie down and roll on my back to play with a scared tiny dog in my foster home. I have very nice house manners, I only bark to alert, and I’m fully housebroken. I know how to sit on command and walk on a leash. I'm affectionate, love pets and tummy rubs, love to snuggle, and I will always break from playtime to get some pets. My foster mom says I’m a big ol’ sweetheart with a kind personality and I’m eager to please. We are all gorgeous and have wonderful temperaments and sweet personalities. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
