My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Timothée is a very shy but curious and playful young cat. His first few months of his life were spent living outside in the middle of winter, trying to survive. He came into rescue dirty, matted, and would hide in the smallest spaces. He is now loving living in a nice warm house with blankets to sleep in, consistent food, and kitty friends he can play with. He is not a lap cat yet but could be with time. He is still pretty shy and will run away when approached. But he will accept pets in his safe space which is currently the cat tower and will become a purring machine once he realizes he’s safe.

Timothée has a black spot on his side that looks like a heart. 🖤 He loves cat nip and toys including balls. He will play with just about anything. Timothée is looking for a kind, loving, and patient home who will continue to work with him to build confidence and will give him time and attention. He will need to go to a secure home because he still loves to hide in the tiniest spaces he can find. Other kitties in the home are a must, Timothée loves to play, chase, and wrestle with the other cats in his foster home and will follow what they do. Other cats in the home will help him continue to come out of his shell. Timothée does ok with nice dogs. Older kids are fine but Timothée may not do well with young kids who might chase him. Timothée is about a year old. He's in Wasilla.

Additional adoption info

We require that adopters sign our adoption contract and a legally binding no-declawing agreement. There is an adoption fee. Most adult cats are $80 except for those who are sponsored or part of a special. Kittens under 8 months are $135. All adults are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens are adopted at 12 weeks of age or older and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Due to the pandemic, most of our adoptions are done virtually. Some of our cats are also available for adoption from their foster homes.

More about this rescue

Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a group of individuals in Alaska dedicated to rescuing cats in need, giving them care, rehabilitation if needed, and finding happy homes for them. We each give what we can to help these cats get through this most unfortunate time in their lives when they have been taken to the pound or are otherwise lost and homeless. Some of us share our homes with these cats while they are waiting for their forever family, some transport them from place to place, some host adoption fairs, take pictures, post ads. Some offer financial help. And through this dedicated group of people, more than a thousand cats have been saved and found loving homes.
In 2017, we rescued and rehomed approximately 500 cats.
