Meet PonyBoy!!
This handsome boy is about 9 months old. We believe he is a Retriever/Husky mix. He currently weighs 68 pounds and has still got some growing to do!
PonyBoy is a very high energy pup who loves to be active!! He is still learning some manners like not jumping to greet people and walking on a leash. He is very attentive and listens well, he just needs consistency in his life to keep him on track to holding his good habits long term.
He will need a big yard for him to run and get all his energy out!
He does well with other dogs and enjoys playing!!
We have no idea what he thinks about cats.
With proper training and patience, we know PonyBoy will make someone a great dog!!
PonyBoy is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. His adoption fee is $85.

You can come in anytime we are open to meet all of our adoptable animals.

2.
Submit Application

You can fill out an application our website https://hspets.org/adoption-application/ or in person.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

Once we approve your application, you can take your new family member home the same day you come to the shelter.

Additional adoption info

We require an application, but will do same day adoptions if all the necessary information can be acquired (vet reference, landlord approval). The adoption fee for our dogs is $85, adult cats are $30 and our kittens are $55. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchips, age appropriate vaccinations, a negative heartworm test (dogs) or FIV/Feleuk test (cats) and a 2 week health guarantee.

Saturday- 11am-5pm

Sunday- 1pm-5pm

Animals who have special needs/are less adoptable may also be shown by appointment outside of open hours. Offsite events are occasionally held as well.

The Humane Society of Stillwater operates an adoption guaranteed, nonprofit animal shelter that exists on donations from the public. We house dogs and cats until they are adopted into approved homes. We transfer cats and dogs into our shelter from other shelter's euthanasia lists and we keep them until they pick their forever families.
