My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ohhhh our sweet senior BubbyWubby!

We just adore our senior critters here, and Bubby is no exception! This boy has a big purrrsonality and he can't wait to tell you all about himself. This chatty boy loves to talk and let you know all his inner most thoughts - this boy wears his heart on his sleeve!

Bubby loves attention and will RUN to greet anyone who comes to say hi. He's an affectionate boy who would love to lounge the day away in a sun beam, on your lap, or watching birds from the window. This lovely old man would prefer to be an indoor/outdoor cat, as his last home had him only 2 months before returning him due to his high anxiety being trapped inside. He would need a house with outdoor access; no condo or apartments will work for him unless he has ground floor access.

Bubby originally came to us as a stray, which makes him a distinguished man of mystery - we don't know anything about this guys past life! But that's okay, because what we do know is that this sweet boy can't wait to land the perfect forever home. While in shelter, Bubby has shown to be comfortable around cats and might be a good addition to your home if you already have cats. Bubby recently had blood work and a dental done and can't wait to show you his sparkling new smile.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
