My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Name: Basil (Bonded with Thyme, both must be adopted together)

*Age: Approximately 1 year old

*Rescued from: NYACC - (Currently located in a CT foster home)

*Adoption fee: $250

*Health: Up to date on vaccines, spayed, & microchipped

*Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older

*Meet Basil and Thyme! These two cats are a dynamic duo, and complement each other in the best way! Basil is outgoing and playful and is always on the search for a new toy to play with. Basil and her sister love to bat play balls around the home, and play with toy wands. Basil is also the mischevious sibling and loves to find new spots to take naps in, and is always the first to greet her humans at the door. A home with a big window would be perfect for these two! These two girls love to spy out the windows to see what is going on around them. These two girls did not have the best start in life and due to this they are bonded. (These two girls must be adopted together, applications for only one of the sisters will not be considered). You will not regret bringing home these two sweet girls!

FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING

All adoption fees are non-refundable

Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing:

LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the kitten/ cat’s physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a cat’s exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of cats as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for cats for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records.

SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR kitten/cat is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the kitten/cat. **

MEETING ADOPTABLE CATS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors.APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive aconfirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application.
