Meet Starla (A211024)! Starla is approximately one year young and is looking for a loving home at the shelter.

Starla was found at the Sacramento River in Knights Landing where she approached some nice people for help and food. She weighed less than 5 lbs when she was found! Starla has had a rough time lately and is looking forward to finding her special someone to love who will take care of her and love her. Starla is such a sweetheart. She is just aching for a friend and will be your loyal companion!

All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. To adopt you must have a photo ID and proof of your current address. If not on your ID then bring in a bill with your name and your current address. If you rent you must provide a lease clearly stating the pet policy or provide a name and phone number for your landlord so that we may confirm the pet policy. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof.

You must be 18 years or older to adopt.

If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).
