My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cowboy is a gentle medium hair tabby girl who is looking for a calm home with no dogs and no young children.
Cowboy was very sick when she was rescued from a feral colony. She was skin and bones, flea and worm infested and had a very bad eye infection. It took weeks to nurse her back to health and to earn her trust.
Cowboy needs a calm home to give her lots of tummy rubs (her favorite!) and to understand that she might be timid at times. She definitely needs a kitty companion that’s not too aggressive.
Cowboy is spayed, vaccinated, FeLV & FIV tested negative, microchipped, dewormed and flea treated. Cowboy does have chronically watery eyes which is being managed with a little l-lysine powder in her food.

More about this rescue

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit cat rescue group. We rescue abandoned cats & kittens from the streets and high kill city animal shelters in Orange, Los Angeles, Imperial and San Diego counties.
We also help people who need to rehome their pets through our Community Foster Program in that we post the cats on our internet sites and accept applications for them. We also help the owner screen applicants and bring their cats to our adoption events but we cannot physically take them since we are foster based. We do not have a physical shelter, we foster in our homes, not in cages which is a more natural environment for cats.
Lastly, we help reduce the number of unwanted kittens with TNR (Trap-Neuter/spay-Release) by loaning traps and instructing others on how to TNR and by referring people to low-cost S/N clinics.
