My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to sweet Cassie! This girl loves attention and can't wait to wiggle her way into your heart. She's a great play pal and cuddle companion all wrapped up into one!

Cassie is currently eligible for rescue, foster and adoption. Head to ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or email foster@acctphilly.org to express interest in fostering her!

Behavior Notes
Per volunteer 9/17: Cassie was eager to go outside and had her paws on the bars as I approached her kennel, but was calm and let me take them off the bars and leash her. She was a little jumpy on the way outside but calmed down once we got to an open run. She loved treats, pets, and sniffing around, but wouldn't engage with any toys. There was a lot going on, but the noises didn't bother her. Cassie is so sweet!

Volunteer noted:

9/14/24 We took Cassie out for some sun and fun. She was easy to get in and out of her kennel. What a pretty, energetic young girl. She loved running around with toys, enjoyed being snuggled and is a fan of treats. She was quite enthusiastic about treats but not snatchy. Come and meet this beautiful girl today!

Per staff 9/10/24: Cassie was super sweet while in the lobby, solicited attention from multiple workers

Per Day Trip 9/13/24: She was super sweet! We went for a few long walks and she loved getting pets from everyone. She loves cuddles- we went to the park and she laid down right my lap. She seems like the type of dog who'd be perfectly content playing for a bit and then cuddling up on the couch with you. She also did great on the car rides. I didn't want to bring her back at the end of the day! she really was the sweetest:)

Per Volunteer 9/14/24: Was lounging when I went to take her out but jumped up very excited when I walked over w leash. Jumped a little when I first got her out but mellowed out a ton. Was nervous at first but opened up and then demanded pets and cuddled up right next to me, also wanting chin scratches. Pooped right when we got outside. Enjoyed playing w toys but wasn't always sure what to do w them. Didn't seem to know any commands. Such a sweet pretty face!

Cassie came out to the yard with a wagging tail and a loose body. She went up to each handlers to solicit for affection and attention. She is a very loose and sweet girl and takes treats gently. She is a very hungry girl so watch your fingers with higher value treats. She loves to jump up and wants everyone to know how cute she is. She allowed all handling and remained very wiggly.
