Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Howdy folks. My name is Blaze! I am a handsome older gentleman but still young at heart! They say I'm around 8 years old. I am a bigger fella at almost 100 pounds... but don't let my size fool you, as I am a gentle giant!
I am looking for a loving home where I can relax and enjoy my senior years. My previous owner couldn't keep me anymore, and I wasn't getting the care I needed, so the Humane Society has provided me a place to get me what I need to be ready for you. I spent a lot of time outside in my prior situation. So if you have a yard where I can wander around and then join you inside when I feel comfortable, that would be awesome.
I enjoy walking on a leash, I do walk kinda slow, but I still love getting out. The folks at the Humane Society are unsure how I will be around other dogs, but if you have any four-legged siblings at home, I would love to meet them. You never know, we may be the best of friends. I love people but I don't know how I would do with younger children but I did live with older kids. So bring your family and let's do a meet and greet and see.
I just got my teeth all cleaned up, had my ears treated, and got neutered, and I am up to date on my vaccines. I have a microchip as well. So I am all set to go home with you today.
If you think I would be a great fit for your family, please call the Humane Society of Sedona at (928)-282-4679 and set up a time to come in and say hi!! They are open from 10-4 every day of the week, except major Holidays. I look forward to meeting you and finding my furr-ever home.

More about this shelter
Our Vision - Be Our Heart & Voice
Building a caring community where every adoptable and treatable pet finds a life-long loving home.
Our Mission
The Humane Society of Sedona is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of pets in our community and beyond. The Society has served the Verde Valley since 1966.
The Linda and Allan Brecher Center for Animals at the society is designed to allow every person, who desires the love of a pet, to adopt and provide a forever loving home. The Center provides quality care and positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable pets. Passionate volunteers help walk and socialize the pets in our care. Foster pet parents are an important part of caring for pets outside the Center.
The Society provides vital services for pets and people alike through income-based affordable spay/neuter surgeries and vaccination clinics. Also, for families in need to feed their pets, we have a Pet Food Program.
Another public resource is our adult and youth educational programs.
The Society relies on community support, contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Society’s thrift stores and some fees for service in order to save pets’ lives.
