My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thank you for your interest in Tatu. He's cute, he's fun, he's a little anxious. Tatu has moved quite a lot in his short life and now he is looking for his permanent place to call home. When we first welcomed Tatu into SPIN he was in a constant hyper vigilant/anxious state. Change can be hard on a dog and Tatu had experienced a lot of change in his short life. We neutered him and discovered that he was nervous around big dogs. On the advice of our trainers and veterinarians, we started him on fluoxetine to support his anxiety management. It took approximately 1 month to decompress but then he calmed down quite a bit and showed us just how sweet he is.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Each adoptive family will complete an application, come out to meet the available dog(s) and then email us after the meeting to let us know their intentions to pursue the adoption. We will do a home visit, check their references and then decide on the best home for each dog. Once a home is chosen, the family will sign our adoption contract and pay the $450 adoption fee prior to taking their new family member home with them!

More about this rescue

SPIN strives to educate and raise public awareness about how to be responsible for and share your life with a companion animal. We talk about the importance of spay/neuter programs, the deplorable conditions found in puppy mills and advocate for change. We are most proud, however, of our work in engaging like-minded people together by providing a forum to discuss how to care for and celebrate the poodle breed, but also to come together when necessary to help poodles in need.
