My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Bonnie and I am a very pretty white Miniature Poodle about 5 years old and I weigh 9 lbs. I was living in San Antonio Texas with my owners when I was attacked by the neighbor's dog and left unable to use my right front leg. Unfortunately, I never went for veterinary care and 4 months later when I was surrendered to 4 Little Paws Rescue my leg could no longer be saved. Fast forward several months and I am getting around great since I couldn't use my leg anyway and being a “tripod” makes it so much easier for me to run and play.

My personality is great! I’m sweet and happy and friendly with people and other dogs. I would say I’m a people dog, not very interested in doggy playmates, and with doggy housemates, I’m the girl in charge and like to keep my food and favorite chew toys hidden away from them. I have a lovely temperament with people. I am loving and affectionate, enjoy being held and kissed and pampered and I’m well-behaved in a home. I don't chew on the furniture or dig in the yard and I am housebroken, so my foster mom lets me roam freely while she is away since I’m a good girl. I also get to sleep on her bed at night, so it would be wonderful if that’s a perk I get in my new forever home. I can walk on a leash and ride in a car without any problem. To sum up, losing a leg hasn't slowed me down a bit and I am ready to finish this journey and find a forever home anywhere on the Eastern Seaboard. Inquire about me today and bring me home!

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
