My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meleys and her kittens were found on Boston Road, which is definitely not a place to raise a family! Their finder brought them to Dakin and they were all placed in foster care. Now she's done with motherhood and is ready to move on. Foster mom said, "This loving kitty wants to be with her people all the time and gives me the most enthusiastic greeting when I come into her room. She will rub on me and wants pets for the at least the first 10 minutes. She does not like to cuddle in your lap, but she will come up for pets and then sit next to you. This kitty is chatty and keeps up a constant dialogue of adorable chirps and trills." With all her motherly duties, she hasn't had the time to play much, but when she does, she likes wand toys and little toy mice. Meleys loves everyone she meets and got along well with the foster's 9 year old. Because she doesn't like to be picked up or restrained, she may not do well with very small children who do not understand her boundaries. She despised the resident cats and may prefer to be your only feline. Initially she was hissy with the resident dog who peeked over the barrier which separated them, but she doesn't mind his peek-a-boo anymore. This kitty is a real sweetheart and will make someone a great companion. Meleys has had quite a journey. She started out on Boston Road, went into foster care and now she's ready for the next leg of her trip...to your heart.
