Meet Shadow! Shadow is a sweet older kitty looking for a cozy forever home. He absolutely loves to snuggle and he can be vocal when he wants attention. Shadow is not a big fan of dogs, so he would do best in a home without them. He may do well with another mellow feline friend with proper introductions. Shadow is a Persian kitty, which means he does have a longer coat that will require regular grooming and maintenance. We ask that the applicant first complete an online application. Each application must meet the approval of Pope Memorial SPCA of Concord Merrimack County policies prior to adoption.

We ask that anyone in need of surrendering an animal call for an appointment. Our name reflects our geographic service area, not a governmental body. We are a nonprofit agency dependent on private donations and are not supported by tax dollars. As a "special admission" shelter we accept all animals in need, but we do utilize an appointment policy to ensure there is space for all incoming animals. Thanks to a dedicated and caring staff and volunteers, and the monetary contributions of so many compassionate individuals and businesses in our community, we offer our animals the best of care as they await their new forever home.
