Come meet this volunteer favorite today! Debbie is a pretty calico girl with a pair of rust colored wings beside her nose and a soft coat. She came to HART when her owner passed away. She's about 11 years old, but looks and acts closer to 6 years old.
She found her new temporary home at the shelter a bit overwhelming at first but she has begun to relax and look for attention from visitors. If you visit her she may purr immediately and move towards you for attention. She enjoys chin and head scritches and may reach out with her paws for move loving. We've discovered that she enjoys interactive toys and can be quite playful. When not being pet, she enjoys sitting next to her people and listening to them speak to her.
Debbie knows her boundaries. She can be very affectionate, but does not want to be touched 24/7. She will let you know when she's done with attention by moving away from you. Because she does have particularities, she isn't a good fit for a home with young children. You might be Debbie's perfect home if you: want a single cat, have experience with cat body language, enjoy speaking to your cat, and want to give a senior girl her forever home. We know she'll reward you for it!
