My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: Salem, Ohio

Trixie- 4 month old female cattle dog

Let’s talk about the things I love! I love everyone, big and small!
Two legs or four legs, I love them all!
Cuddles, wrestling and chasing a ball!
If you can’t find me, I’ll come bounding with just a call!

Honestly, this little red head is the happiest, most lovable little squirt! She really does love life. She loves playing with any dog that will play with her or tormenting the ones that won’t. But pick her up and give her snuggles and she is in heaven. Trixie loves kids but still has those sharp puppy teeth so maybe better with kids over 10. She sleeps all night in a crate without a peep. Cat and chicken approved, in fact, they chase her! She loves horses, maybe too much. She doesn’t bite at them. In fact I don’t think she looks up to see how big they really are!

Trixie is fostered in Salem Ohio through ACDRA. She is current on all vetting and other treatments and she is ready to be welcomed into your home. If you would like more info email Jane malmsberry@aol.com.

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
