Meet Pumpkin and Cider!

Pumpkin
He is an introverted little guy that is hesitant at first, but will warm up to you. He loves pets, but prefers to be the groomer and will stop your hand to lick it. While quiet, he is the more adventurous of the two and will explore anything and everything. He loves family time and will settle down on the couch with you or sit in the front row of the TV. He enjoys watching fast-paced sports and Cat TV. Pumpkin loves to run around and play with his brother Cider. When apart he will cry until reunited. Pumpkin has lived with adult cats and does very well with them.

Cider
He is the extroverted, friendlier one of the two. While Pumpkin is the mastermind, Cider will carry out the activity. He loves exploring and will try to see every inch of the house that he can reach. Even though he has a wild side, he loves to cuddle on the couch or bed and be petted. He loves to play with anything that moves. Cider loves to run around and play with his brother Pumpkin. When apart he will cry until reunited. Cider has lived with adult cats and does very well with them.

Pumpkin and Cider are 5 months old and are a bonded pair.

We have an adoption contract on line. Our fees vary from kittens to adult cats, from puppies to adult dogs.

You must be 21 years older to adopt. We take all of our animals back indefinitely.

Adoption hours are every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.

You can also see some of our available pets at our Adoption Showcase anytime during normal store hours at:

Our animals are available for viewing at both Petco stores, 7 days a week during normal business hours. We can be reached by phone any day of the week to come and meet regarding the adoption of any of our animals up at the Petco stores. Phone: (916) 939-3418 for adoption assistance.

Mission Statement

Fat Kitty City Humane Society (The Agee Memorial Wildlife Fund, Inc.) is a non-profit 501(c)3 Corporation, dedicated to ending needless animal suffering, through spaying, neutering, socializing, adopting and other aggressive approaches.

Our objectives are:
Provide a "no-kill" sanctuary for unwanted, Feline AIDS positive or negative, abused, neglected, feral, tame, stray or lost pets.

When possible, each pet will be rehabilitated, socialized and adopted (with a microchip) to a good family.

Those pets that cannot be rehabilitated, will live out their lives in our sanctuary, in dignity. They will receive love, housing, food and veterinary care.

To spay or neuter every pet we receive, to reduce unnecessary suffering.

Provide reasonable space for each pet to live out a high quality of life (not to live out their lives in small cages with barely enough room to move around).

Provide relief from the weather by providing a heated shelter during cold weather, etc.

Provide stimulation. A yard with trees to climb, lawn and dirt to play in and toys to enjoy.
