Why this pet is the one for you:
Say hello to this beauty, Aurora. This gal is looking for a long-term commitment with that special someone. Soft beds, lots of attention, and tasty treats are what she's seeking. Aurora is a delightful companion who enjoys the finer things in life, like naps and couch time. Recently, our medical team noticed some lumps on Aurora and took swift action to remove them. She is now well on the road to recovery. Our medical staff can give you details on if she needs continued care after she goes home. She is a gentle girl who walks well on leash, sits at the mere sight of treats, and loves playing with her ball. She's now ready to find her new home and doesn't want to keep you waiting. When you come to meet Aurora, be sure to bring a leash and collar. This beauty queen is eager to start her new life with you, sharing in cozy moments and becoming a cherished member of your family.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
