Dottie is an 8 month old JRT-Dachshund mix who is ready to find her people so she can dot-e on them forever! Dottie was rescued from one of our local shelter partners. We were there to pick up another dog and the most perfect dog ever, caught our eye. Her happiness is contagious. Her love for people is unmatched. This gal has fabulous ears mixed with a perfect personality. She’s the whole package! If you’re ready for the best puppy ever, meet Dottie! Her rescuer said, 'If friendly was a breed, she'd be the poster child.'

Dottie is a super happy, loving puppy who wants to live her life in joy and style. She is super playful and loves her people. She is always down for a game of fetch or a romp around the yard with one of her favorite toys. She also loves to cuddle and follows her people around faithfully as they go about their days. Daisy is also a total foodie and chomps down on treats as well as apples. We love a curious eater! She is very smart and picks up on new tricks quickly. Dottie also loves posing for the camera and knows how to find her angle! If you have a toy chest and a closet full of dresses, she will be an Instagram star in no time! Dottie would be a fantastic companion for any home ready for adventure. She can hit the trails, hop on a surfboard, toast some marshmallows, or trot to the coffee shop. We know she will bring so much joy and happiness to whoever is lucky enough to bring her home.

Dottie starts her morning at 7:30 AM with a wagging tail and a song in her heart. Once she goes outside and does her potty business, she heads inside for her morning meal. Throughout the day, Dottie alternates between playing, napping, zooming around the yard, and soaking up all the cuddles she can! She gets an afternoon snack around 1 PM followed by some training in the yard. She gets a walk in the early evening once her people finish work. Dinner is served at 7 PM and she eagerly chows down. In the evening, Dottie gets her cuddle on as she watches TV with her people. A few games of fetch later, she’s ready for one last potty trip and then she heads to her crate for the night.

Daisy loves dogs and people alike. This girl hasn’t met anyone, canine or human, that she can’t win over. Daisy is fully house-trained and crate trained. She does well when she is left home alone. Dottie is working on her leash training and would thrive in a puppy social class. If you’re excited to take on the world with your new bestie, meet your girl Dottie!

Dottie is an option for homes with prior dog experience, even if that experience is less recent. Kids in the home should be over the age of 6.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
