My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Claire: The Lap-Loving Sweetheart with a Soulful Spirit 🐾
Claire’s story began with a rough start – orphaned at just three weeks old, she’s shown incredible resilience and is thriving today! Though her heritage is a mystery (she was listed as a German Shepherd mix, but we see a lot of terrier charm), what’s crystal clear is her loving, gentle nature.

This sweet and soulful girl loves nothing more than to be curled up on someone’s lap, even if she’s starting to outgrow it (shh… don’t tell her!). Claire has a wonderful food drive and thrives during her puppy obedience sessions, showing off her smarts and eagerness to please.

While she gets along well with other dogs, Claire’s heart truly belongs to her humans. At adoption events, after a few playful zoomies, you’ll find her snuggled up on the nearest lap, soaking in all the love and attention she can get.

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Claire is ready to be your forever lap buddy. 💖🐶

More about this rescue

Infinite PawsAbilities works with Incarcerated individuals teaching them life skills while learning dog training. The trainers are learning a vocation that can reduce recidivism while they are simultaneously saving the lives of shelter dogs. The trainers are taught to look for special skills in the dogs that might make them a fit for certain types of canine jobs. Of course, our most important job is trusted family companion. They train the dogs to get their CGC or higher. Once we complete their training program we adopt them to families and where appropriate we may place a dog into a sport home, a service dog home, or any other number of Infinite PawsAbilities.
