My name is Frankie!

My name is Frankie, but mom calls me Cupid. I AM a bit of a ladies man! She says I am just dreamy – deep brown pools of love for eyes, ringed in sophisticated and mysterious black, and a soft smooth coat of reddish gold.  The I-phone says I am a red coonhound, but mom says I am a golden-hearted snugglehound. (Is that even a thing?)

I love to go on walks with you, and to play with pals in the yard. I have my place on my dog bed and am happy to kennel, but if you invite me to sit and snuggle, or curl up for a nap, well that’s just heaven in my book. I am protective of my mom, so need a minute to get to know other four-legged friends out in public – just to be sure they won’t hurt her. And I can be a little shy when I first meet you, but it won’t be long ‘til I am ready to be your bestie too.

I have three foster sister pups and a foster brother dog, and we all like to run and play. And the cat sleeps next to me sometimes! He’s actually okay. I have people friends of all ages: kindergarteners to grandmas. Sometimes I forget that I shouldn’t jump up to say hello, but I get so excited sometimes!  I am working on learning all my good dog habits.

I am looking for forever people who will love me the way I will love you. People who are patient and understanding and who like to have fun and who like to relax.  People who maybe have some toys I could play with. Hopefully they will like to go on walks. And treats. Do you have treats? I love a good treat, and I will sit for you!
