My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rupert is a lovable mix of German Shepherd, Malamute, and Mastiff that is used to getting his own way. This big boy is known for his lush and affectionate nature. Rupert would thrive in a spacious environment, preferably outside of city limits, as he is accustomed to living primarily outdoors in the Quesnel area. He has previously enjoyed the freedom and space that a more rural setting provides. Rupert is protective of his home and family, a trait that is typical for backyard dogs. While he can be cautious around new dogs and visitors, this is a normal aspect of his personality. He gets along well with people and is very sweet. Rupert is a strong dog who would benefit from loose-leash training and positive reinforcement to work on his manners.
Rupert has experience living indoors and is quite comfortable with the luxuries of a home environment. He is well-behaved inside and does not attempt to get on furniture or beds, making him a good candidate for indoor living.
Although Rupert was previously in the care of another male German Shepherd, the two were too much for each other, indicating that Rupert might do better as the only dog.
Rupert is a big, loving boy who will need a bit of training and aa adult only home where he can enjoy the great outdoors while also appreciating indoor comforts.
