Huckleberry's foster home is still learning about him, and he will be available for adoption on 9/28/2024. In the meantime, feel free to submit an adoption application.
Well, howdy there, partner! The name's Huckleberry, but folks 'round here just call me Huck-just like that ol' fella in the book. I reckon I'm about 2 months old and weighin' in at a hearty 12 pounds, but don't be fooled by my size, no sir! I'm an Anatolian Shepherd, and one day I'll be big and mighty, though right now, I'm just a small fry with a whole lotta love to give.
I've been wanderin' a bit, just like my namesake, came in as a stray without much to my name, but I ain't complainin'. I've had myself a fine two weeks stayin' with a foster family, where I've been learnin' what it means to have a roof over my head and a warm heart to cuddle up next to. They say I'm as gentle as a river breeze and friendly as can be with dogs and even those critters called cats.
But now, here's the thing, partner-bein' a young pup, I've got a heap of growin' to do, both in size and in learnin'. I ain't gonna be little forever, no sir. I'll need someone to help me learn the ways of the world-like where to do my business, how to walk proper on a leash, and all the other fine details that make a fella a real gentleman. With a patient hand and a kind heart, I reckon I'll be the best companion you ever did see.
I've already had two rounds of my puppy shots (they call it DHAPP, but I just call it "ouch!), so I'm well on my way to bein' a healthy, strong boy. But don't forget now, raisin' a pup like me is a big adventure. It takes time, care, and a whole lotta love. But if you're up for the journey, I'll be your faithful companion through thick and thin.
So, what d'ya say? Want to team up with ol' Huck for a grand adventure? I'm waitin' to find my forever home, and I reckon we'd make quite the pair.
Yours truly,
Huckleberry (but you can call me Huck, partner!)
