Hi my name is Violet! I came from Alabama. I was living outside in a yard when I was rescued so living in a home is new to me but I am loving and adapting to it quite nicely! My foster mom says I’m showing my gratefulness by being a first class snuggler and super sweetheart of a girl!
My foster mom says I have very good manners, I don’t jump on people, and I wait for my foster mom to go thru doors first! I’m very treat and love motivated so I’ve learned sit, working on stay and I know my name! Walking on leash is new to me and I’m making great strides, pun intended! I like to sniff lots but can also keep a nice pace. I do like a couple walks a day! I’m learning how to play with toys, tug with my stuffed animal is my favorite!
I live alone with my foster mom now but like it very much when she has company. I like slow introductions to people. Some chin, ear and butt scratches do the trick. I’m not use to kids yet, probably because kids move fast! I haven’t been introduced to a cat yet. It could be nice to have a feline friend. My foster mom says I’m getting braver everyday!
I've been asked, "what would you like in a forever home, Violet?" Well, just the thought of a forever home makes me absolutely giddy! But if I can be a little greedy, and honest - I'd say a home that can give me lots of love and attention. What makes me most content and happy is having my human near me! I give gentle kisses and I won’t lick your face off. My foster mom lets me sleep in the bed with her, I have a cute lil snore and I’m not a bed hog. I’m a Velcro dog but not in the separation anxiety way. I’m accident and destruction free, I do great without being in a crate! I don’t think I’d like being left alone for more than 4 hours a day. Be prepared to get the best greeting of your life every time you come thru that door! I need a yard to do my potty on a schedule and I love laying in the sun. I’m a gentle, affectionate, calm dog so a quieter household would suit me best. I think another mellow, chill dog would be ok as long as there’s enough attention to go around. I’m so happy you are reading this and I can’t wait to meet you!

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”
Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
