My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Greetings here from Corie! It has been quite a transition, but my foster mom says that I am doing great. I love this beautiful weather, and I could literally spend the whole day outside. My foster fur sister, Lily, and I chase each other around the yard, and check out all the flowers, shrubs, and critters. After a a couple of hours, we both take a break, lie on the deck, and soak up the sun. Lily shares her toys with me, but she lets me know when she doesn’t want to play. I can take a hint.

I spent an afternoon at an adoption event, and I couldn’t believe all the people that were there. I was sure that I would be scared, but I surprised myself. I loved having everyone pet me and the belly rubs were amazing! I especially loved the kids

I sleep in a kennel at night, and when my foster mom leaves the house. My kennel has a soft mattress, a warm blanket, and a few toys. She covers it with a sheet and plays soft music to help me relax. It is right next to her bed. I sleep 8-10 hours without needing a potty break. I feel safe and loved.

I am working on potty training. I need to find a signal to let my foster mom know when I need to do my business. When I go outside, my foster mom tells me that I am such a “good boy.”

I am hoping that you will read this, and decide that you absolutely must meet this “good boy.” I so want to be a part of a loving family.

All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.

Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

More about this rescue

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”

Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
