My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hachi, a sweet and endearing 1-year-old, 12-pound Terrier who was found as a stray and brought to CAMO Rescue. Though initially shy, Hachi quickly warms up and reveals his affectionate side once he feels comfortable and trusts you. While Hachi gets along well with other dogs, he is dog-selective and prefers companions that match his energy and respect his space. He also displays some food aggression with other dogs during meal times, so he will need to be fed separately.

Hachi would thrive in a home with older children who understand his demeanor and can give him the calm environment he needs. He's currently working on leash and potty training and is making great progress. Hachi is searching for a loving home where he can feel safe and continue to grow into his confident self. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

Vet reference check : Please contact your vet to give consent for record / information release.

Home Check

Home visit: You will be contacted by a volunteer to set up a time for a virtual home/yard check.

Meet the Pet

Call with Foster or Kennel Manager to set up a meet and greet.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

Pay Fee

Pay the adoption donation fee.

Take the Pet Home

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
