My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hamsters don't often come to mind when thinking of a rescue pet, but even little gals like Toad need love. Toad came to us under socialized and will need patient adopters to get her used to the idea that humans aren't so bad. Like most hamsters who are nocturnal, this little lady sleeps a lot during the day. However, she does enjoy rolling around in her little exercise ball sometimes and she loves running in her exercise wheel. She is a curious, active little hamster who is a joy to watch! Her favorite thing to do is burrow deep down into her pile of fluff and make a nice, cozy nest for herself. She is a fairly quiet companion just looking for a home to call her own. Adopters should show knowledge of proper Hamster care and set up so Toad can have a good diet and plenty of enrichment to keep her happy and healthy.

Does Toad sound like the pet for you? To apply, please fill out an application form below and send to kamloops@spca.bc.ca along with a picture of your intended set up. As with all small animals and reptiles, we strongly encourage potential adopters to do some research on the individual needs of their new family member.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.
